Beside of loving his Angel fragrance, Thierry Mugler’s home is quite delicious too! This contemporary yet eclectic duplex penthouse is located in Chelsea, and has 2 bedrooms an amazing living space and beautiful city views. Oh and it’s for sale for a mere $7,995,000.
London designer Paul Cocksedge, one of my favourite lighting designers might I add, has created this beautiful 25 meter sculpture titled “Bourrasque” in Lyon, France, for the recent Fête des Lumières.
I have always been a fan of his work, and this one is nothing short of magical. the 200 suspended sheets are set to mimic papers scatteringin a gust of wind – a beautiful bright image against a backdrop of the 17th century architecture of l’Hotel de Ville. Simply beautiful.
I love this tiny little cabin designed by Olson Kundig Architects on San Juan Island in Washington State.
Only 500 sf, it is surrounded by wildlife and a great view, and when needed, it can be closed up tightly by the surrounding decks. A kitchenette, bathroom, a beautiful seating area, and a rotating fireplace is really all you need to get the creative juices flowing.
The cabin is five hundred square feet and is a private writers retreat and guest cottage. Located on San Juan Island, Washington, the owners wanted the cabin to feel contacted to its setting, the climate, the wildlife and views. They also needed a structure that could be easily secured when not in use. Perfect!

This home featured in Inside Out is so nice, not to mention the backyard, the dark grey hues with touches of green, wood and cozy fabrics. I’d move in in a second!
I think its pretty cool when nature makes its way into your house or office. I saw it first this in Fallingwater, by Frank Lloyd Wright, where the hearth of the fireplace was the natural stone from the outside and the house was, essentially, built around it. Quite cool. Here are some other examples I thought were pretty neat too! Enjoy!

There is nothing like a perfect entrance and foyer to welcome you back home after a long days work. *Deep sigh of relief…

Oh, how I’m trying to hang onto summer for as long as possible. With a trip to San Francisco and Sonoma next week, hotels with pools, patios and bike rides and wine tastings are a must! I’m loving these pool pictures to help me carry out the cold weather!

Soren Rose Studio, Copenhagen, Denmark, renovated a 1770′s space into a stylish home with bold accents of colour and contemporary furniture to offset the beautiful and original architecture. Check out his site for more amazing projects.
I’m loving this house by Muir Mendes, located in Melbourne, Australia. The architects designed their house for themselves, with an amazing steel-plated facade. There are so many details that I’m oogling at. The front window that opens at the top letting in natural light, the double-height corridor that spans the whole house to allow more light to filter throug, check out that ceiling line (amazing!) and I can’t get enough of those stairs…a simple profile with steel covering each tread and riser, and that perfect reveal. Simply fantastic! Enjoy!
Meus Deus! Can we please look at this beautiful country home in Palmela, Portugal? See, this is why I need to move to a hot climate country so I can live fabulously like this forever and ever. Monica Penaguiao designed her residence, near to Lisbon, in a simple and rustic style adding mix of classic furniture and beautiful colourful textiles to brighten up the space. I wouldn’t mind living here one bit!
